My approach to tutoring:
To share academic / industrial experience and context of complex chemistry concepts. To break down syllabuses into manageable segments with worked examples to aid understanding. To teach skills and approaches to learning as a whole, which have served both me and others well, and can empower the student to take ownership of their own learning. To help students become robust and independent so they can excel academically for the rest of their life.
Academic qualifications and relevant work experience:
Doctorate or Engineering in the chemistry of lithium ion batteries from UCL. Masters degree in Chemistry from UCL. Experience of research and development, from working as a scientist in the chemical industry. Currently working as a strategy consultant at one of the big four, teaching consulting, markets and economics analysis, expert PowerPoint and Excel experience. Experience of teaching undergraduate and masters' students during my doctorate.
